I have several insect bites that have refused to heal. I've been applying clay and have seen some improvement. Diluted lavender oil helps with the itching. Do you have other recommendations, or can you give specific instructions for using the clay? Thanks.

Hi!

Plantain is an excellent treatment for insect bites or stings.

A simple ointment, made with an olive oil, extract of fresh plantain, and a little beeswax makes a very effective treatment for skin ailments, including diaper rash. To soothe bug bites, eczema, poison ivy, or other minor skin irritations, rub fresh plantain leaves on the affected area. You can also make a soothing poultice of fresh, mashed leaves and a little cool water.

The best source I've found for plantain leaves is Mountain Rose Herbs.

Hope this helps!

Don't scratch the parts where you had been bitten for when you scratch them
the might turn into scars
